German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland has added RTL’s streaming service TVNow to the Sky Q platform.
The around 2.5 million Sky Q customers in Germany and Austria can access the TVNow app via the Sky Q starting page or by voice control.
The addition of TVNow, which will be renamed RTL+, is part of an extensive streaming partnership agreed by Sky Deutschland and Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland in March 2021.
TVNow offers programmes from RTL, VOX, RTLzwei and other TV channels of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland as well as exclusive content.
The catch-up services operated by public broadcasters ARD and ZDF are also accessible via Sky Q. However, streaming service Joyn operated by ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery is still missing.
