Cristina Pocora has been proposed to become the new president of Romania’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA).
Media Expres reports that her name was put forward by the former president Monica Gubernat at the beginning of CNA’s meeting on July 23.
Pocora was the only candidate among CNA members for the position and her appointment will now need to be validated by parliament.
Pocora has been a member of the CNA since 2018 and will continue the mandate of Gubernat, who was elected president in 2019 and would have had four more years in the position.
Gubernat is the first president of CNA to be dismissed, following on from the rejection of its Activity Report in 2020.
