The Communications Regulatory Authority of Bosnia & Herzegovina (RAK) has fined the telco Trion Tel BAM100,000 (€51,129) for operating a communications network in the city of Banja Luka.
In a statement, the regulator says that it has imposed the fine after Trion Tel commissioned the network, or parts of the network, without obtaining a permit from the competent authority.
RAK adds that it has also ordered the telco to suspend the provision of services through the disputed part of the network for a period of three months.
As previous reported by Broadband TV News, United Group’s Telemach entered into a partnership with Trion Tel in July 2020 to provide joint services in Banja Luka, the second largest city in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
