Hrvatski Telekom extends CEO’s mandate

June 18, 2021 07.58 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Hrvatski Telekom (HT) has reappointed CEO Konstantinos Nempis for a further three years, commencing April 1, 2022.

Commenting on the development, Jonathan Richard Talbot, chairman of HT’s supervisory board, said: “Since his appointment in 2019, Konstantinos Nempis has with his team made great progress in HT’s transformation. This is even more relevant taking in consideration the unprecedented and demanding conditions which the whole economy and telecommunication industry faced and through which HT navigated successfully. Which is confirmed by the fact that HT set new standards in company’s history in terms of network and service quality improvements, seen in the largest ever fibre roll-out in a single year, the launch of the first commercial 5G network in Croatia, the best ever customer satisfaction, all-time high employee satisfaction, to name a few. Under his leadership HT made a significant leap, strengthening its leadership position and creating value for shareholders, customers, partners and employees. Having all this in mind, I’m looking forward to everything he and his team can do in the next mandate”.

Nempis became CEO of HT on April 1, 2019. He came to the company from Greece’s OTE Group, where he held the position of the CCO for residential customers. He has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, during which he led national and international commercial teams in fixed and mobile telecommunications companies.
