The number of FTTH lines in Spain is fast approaching the 12 million-mark.
Figures published by the regulator CNMC indicate that the total was over 11.9 million as of the end of April.
This was 1.4 million more than a year earlier, while at the same the number of DSL lines fell by 0.7 million.
Movistar accounted for almost two in five (39.2%, or 4.7 million) lines, and Movistar, Orange(inclyding Jazztel) and Vodafone (including Ono) claimed a combined market share of 81.8%.
