The Polish entrepreneur Zygmunt Solorz has hired Jaroslaw Grzesiak to oversee ownership issues of his capital group, which includes Cyfrowy Polsat.
Grzesiak has until now been the managing partner in the Warsaw office of Greenberg Traurig, of which Solorz is a long term client.
Commenting on the appointment, Solorz said: “Jaroslaw Grzesiak himself and the Greenberg Traurig law firm have been accompanying me for many years, advising both me and companies from my group in many investments and transactions. Jaroslaw knows my group very well and I am glad that he has agreed to join me and will work with me directly, dealing, among other things, with issues related to the ownership supervision area”.
Greenberg Traurig law participated in the entry of Cyfrowy Polsat and ZE PAK on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, in the acquisition of Telewizja Polsat by Cyfrowy Polsat, purchase of Polkomtel – Plus network operator, as well as Netia, Eleven Sports, TV channels from ZPR, Asseco Poland shares, Interia Group and Polkomtel Infrastruktura to Cellnex. Greenberg Traurig also advised Cyfrowy Polsat on the conclusion of loan agreements with a consortium of over 20 Polish and foreign financial institutions, including term loans of up to PLN11.5 billion (€2.58 billion) and revolving loans of up to PLN1 billion. It is still the largest corporate loan in Polish currency to date.
Grzesiak will maintain close relations with the law firm he founded and led to its current market leading position, as well as with the team that he has built during this time.
