The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) has almost completed ground tests of the new telecom satellites Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7.
Speaking at SPIEF-2021, its general director Yuri Prokhorov added that in accordance with current plans the satellites will be orbited on November 8, 2021.
AMU3 and AMU7 are designed to provide digital communication and broadcasting services, including internet access and radio and TV broadcasting, across Russia.
AMU3 and AMU7 were manufactured by the ISS Reshetnev Company and Europe’s Thales Alenia Space Italia and will be placed in their respective orbital positions of 103 and 145 degrees East.
