Lünecom launches IPTV service with Ocilion

June 9, 2021 16.01 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German network operator Lünecom is launching an IPTV offering via the cloud solution of Austrian IPTV service provider Ocilion.

The product, marketed under proprietary brand LCTV, includes channel packages with interactive TV services, time-shifted TV, a customised user interface, 4K set-top boxes and a smartphone/tablet app.

“We are pleased to now be able to offer our customers a TV product that – in addition to the wide variety of channels and high picture quality – offers many additional and very useful functions. The trend towards non-linear TV will continue to gain momentum. As a strongly customer-oriented company, we can now also serve this demand adequately on our high-performance networks,” said Lars Grodtmann, Project Manager LCTV at Lünecom.

Lünecom has been serving the Northern German regions around Lüneburg, Uelzen, Lüchow-Dannenberg, Gifhorn including the North Frisian Islands with broadband networks and individual solutions for corporate, municipal and consumer purposes since 1995. As a pioneer, Lünecom has been using fibre optic technology since 1998.
