June 2, 2021 13.14 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

The 9th HbbTV Symposium and Awards, will take place on November 25-26, 2021 in Paris, France, as a hybrid event, combing live attendance and online participation.

The HbbTV Association is working on a hybrid event which includes an in-person gathering, the size depending on the situation and local regulation, and the possibility to participate online.

In preparation of the event, the Association, which co-hosts the event with French TV platform SALTO, is inviting leading industry executives and experts to speak at the annual key summit of the connected TV world.

“The HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2021 provides a great opportunity for speakers to reach and influence a large number of high-profile executives, addressing and discussing the latest developments and trends in the global broadcast and broadband industry. We would like to invite passionate and prominent industry executives and experts to submit their proposals for presentations focusing on current topics, first-hand experiences, upscaling of their HbbTV services in the day-to-day business as well as future developments,” said Vincent Grivet, Chair of the HbbTV Association.

Industry players who would like to speak at the HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2021, are welcome to send the organisers an outline of the proposed presentation through this online form by July 15, 2021. Please provide the title, an abstract (max. 200 words), a speaker’s biography (max. 150 words) and a speaker’s photo.

The HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2021 targets platform operators, broadcasters, advertisers and adtechs, standards organisations and technology companies, offering first-hand insights into the latest and most innovative services available to viewers, operators and advertisers. The event will also host the 4th edition of the HbbTV Awards, featuring a wide range of categories designed to acclaim best practice and excellence in the HbbTV community.
