Mediaset has launched a new streaming platform that features films, TV series and Champions League football.
Taking the name of its original on demand offer, first launched in 2013, the new Infinity combines free and pay tiers, including the existing Mediaset Play. Among first run series, It will also create its own original programming with the first series slated for the autumn.
There will also premium channels specialising in TV series, sports, documentaries and offers for children.
Mediaset has obtained exclusive free-to-air rights to the Champions League, which will go on Canale 5, screening the top pick of 16 matches every Tuesday – Amazon Prime Video has the leading Wednesday match – leaving the remaining 104 matches for Infinity at a monthly €7.99.
Infinity is available through PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets and games consoles. The service is also available on enabled Smart TVs and through devices such as Amazon’s Fire TV.
