Media Meet & Greet debuts a new event format for June

May 28, 2021 11.23 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

Media Meet & Greet, the live networking event for the global media and TV technology community, will debut a new format at its forthcoming event on 10th June.

The June event will debut a sleek new release of the Deal Room interface, Media Meet & Greets event tech platform, with many upgraded features including a welcome lobby that gives a single overview of the event and participants.

The event length on 10th June will be extended to a full three hours of networking for the first time. It will also be free to attend.

Media Meet & Greet will additionally feature a co-located webinar featuring a panel of independent experts (details coming soon) followed by interactive group discussion sessions so participants can enjoy spontaneous conversations. In addition to the 1:1 networking the Media Meet & Greet event format comes as close as possible to the type of encounters you’d expect at a physical event.

“Covid or no Covid, the old world of trade shows and conferences is due for a shake up,” says David Short, digital media technologist at Malkani Systems, a supporter and regular attendee at the event series which started in October 2020.

“With IFA cancelled and IBC postponed to December, virtual events have never been more relevant. The entire event will revolve around great conversation and great networking on our easy to use platform”, says event executive producer Janet Greco of Broadcast Projects.

Media Meet & Greet, produced by Broadcast Projects in association with Broadband TV News is platformed by Deal Room Events, an event management platform that offers comprehensive networking functionalities enabling attendee engagement with 1-on-1 meetings, interactive group discussion sessions and webinars.

Media Meet & Greet’s event platform opens on 1st June in advance of the live event on 10th June. Participants can start to pre-book meetings, set-up their individual agenda, privately chat with attendees and use filters to search for relevant connections.

Live networking will be possible throughout the entire event from 5pm CET until 8pm CET on 10th June. More details about the content programme will be released soon.
