The Dutch tech company MeisterApps has announced the launch of a new video player that makes it easier for Mac users to play video files on a smart TV.
VideoMeister gives users the opportunity to enjoy any type of video on connected TVs wirelessly and works on all brands, including Samsung, Sony, LG and Hisense. It also works on all media streamers such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast.
The application supports all video codecs like H264, H265, VP8 and VP9 and all audio codecs such as AAC, AC3 and MP3. This allows users to enjoy all available video formats, including MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI and MKV, without using external hardware.
According to Elard Tissot van Patot, marketing director for MeisterApps BV, VideoMeister was developed as an answer to the growing demand for watching videos on smart TVs without hassle. “We have received many requests to provide a video player app for any Smart TV that could be used on MacOS devices. With VideoMeister, people can enjoy all types of video files on their Smart TV in record time. They don’t need to worry about compatibility issues or the use of external hardware such as HDMI cables ever again”.
Users can try the VideoMeister app for free for five minutes. After this free trial period, one can choose between different types of subscription: monthly ($ 4.99) or annually ($ 12.99). One can also opt for a one-time purchase, which costs $ 22.99.
