Greece’s Cosmote TV has announced a multi-year broadcast partnership renewal with the NBA.

As part of the agreement. Cosmote TV, which is operated by the incumbent OTE, will broadcast more than 350 live games each season. This will include up to eight regular-season games per week highlighted by weekend primetime games, as well as. up to seven live games per week on NBA TV – the league’s 24/7 dedicated channel.

Commenting on the development, Dimosthenis Vasilopoulos, Cosmote TV content & production operations director, said: “We are delighted to renew our multiyear agreement with the NBA.

“Since 2012, Cosmote TV has been the exclusive host of the top basketball league in the world. Along with all the other exclusive sports content, our sports channels are the ultimate destination for sports fans in Greece”.

Bastien Lacheny, NBA EME associate VP of media distribution, added: “Cosmote TV are committed and passionate partners and we are thrilled to expand our relationship.
“As the 2020-21 NBA regular season reaches its climax and ahead of the excitement of the Play-In Tournament, there has never been a better time to be an NBA fan in Greece”.

The deal also incorporates NBA League Pass, the NBA’s subscription-based product that gives fans access to games, live and on-demand, for the entire season, with special bespoke packages for Cosmote customers.
