Qello Concerts by Stingray expands to Russia

May 17, 2021 12.17 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The SVOD service Qello Concerts by Stingray is now available on Rostelecom’s Wink digital video service in Russia.

Commenting on the development, Alexander Kosarim, director of content policy at Rostelecom, said: “We are pleased to offer our viewers a large collection of TV-versions of the most exciting concerts of the last decades. The Qello Concerts by Stingray collection includes world stars’ performances of various musical styles from the largest world music venues in the best quality available for the filming period. A new subscription from Wink will turn a TV or a gadget into a high-tech stage where perform legendary musicians and bands – from The Rolling Stones and Metallica to Madonna and Beyonce”.

In Russia and the CIS, Qello Concerts by Stingray is distributed by Thema Rus. Its MD Natalya Kabikova added: “In the current reality, when live concerts are canceled or postponed, Qello Concerts provides music lovers with high-quality broadcasts from the most famous music venues from around the world. We are very pleased that viewers can get almost the same lifelike impressions from the performances of the world stars without even leaving their living rooms”.

At its launch, the Qello Concerts library includes 120 concerts, with monthly content refresh, and will feature shows of such artists as Katy Perry, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Rammstein, Aerosmith, Coldplay and many others. The cost of the “Concerts” subscription is R299 (€3.32) a month.
