ProSiebenSat.1 Group has increased its full year outlook and revenues after a good first quarter.
The German TV operation’s adjusted EBITDA came out better than expected at €143 million.
While Entertainment revenues were down by 8%, the Dating segment played a key role following the integration of US online dating company The Meet Group.
Rainer Beaujean, Chairman of the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media said the unexpected improvement had come about as a result of the company’s divesification.
Advertising revenues in the Entertainment segment decreased by 14%, revenues from programme production and sales rose by 20%.
Distribution revenues climbed by 8% year-on-year, in particular due to higher numbers of HD users.
The Group expects advertisibg revuenes to continue to recover in the second quarter,
