Telemach Hrvatska has begun to give customers access to its 10 giga network.
Telemach users can chose between three simple fibre-optic internet packages with speeds of 300 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps, with the former being up to ten times faster than the average internet speed in the country of 30-40 Mbps.
The network is currently available to around 7,000 homes in the Novi Zagreb area and 70,000 households will be able to access it by the end of the year.
Telemach aims to cover a third of Croatia, or more than 500,000 homes, with its 10 giga network by the end of the year.
Commenting on the network, Telemach Hrvatska’s CEO Viktor Pavlinic said: “With the introduction of the internet and fixed telephony, Telemach Hrvatska becomes an operator with three telecommunications services and positions itself as the most advanced internet service and network. This is exactly what we mean when we say we are committed to providing the most advanced technology to our customers for the most innovative products and services and the best user experience. Telemach Hrvatska’s investment in building a super-fast optical network is helping to accelerate Croatia’s digital transformation and make better use of the economic and social benefits it brings”.
Telemach Hrvatska’s parent company United Group is supporting it in building the network with an investment of €100 million.
