Amino Technologies has revealed its one of the companies interested in acquiring the assets of Mobi TV.
The Cambridge-based software firm announced its intentions in a regulatory statement.
Mobi entered voluntary Chapter 11 in the United States in March, saying it would use the proceedings for a period of restructuring.
Its TV-as-a-Service solution allows operators to ugrade their pay-TV offering to consumers while reducing the available bandwidth.
Amino says the acquision would give it TVaaS capability in the United States, but the process would require investment over a 6-12 month period.
An auction process for Mobi’s assets will begin later today (Tuesday) amid multiple bidders.
