M7 Deutschland acquires 11 new customers

May 10, 2021 10.48 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

German platform operator M7 Deutschland has acquired 11 new customers in the past 12 months.

The contracts were signed with city carriers, fibre-network operators and regional telecommunications companies including Emden Digital, SachsenEnergie, GmündCOM, Rapidata, Stadtwerke Flensburg, Stadtwerke Unna, Stadtwerke Velbert, Vereinigte Stadtwerke Media and wisotel in Germany as well as senseLAN in Switzerland.

With M7’s channel portfolios and platform services, the new partners can offer free-TV and pay-TV packages, thematic channels and foreign language services on their networks. The majority of the new customers supply households and businesses in urban and rural areas via fibre-optic networks.

In addition, the existing M7 customers Emden Digital and Vereinigte Stadtwerke Media have expanded their cable TV service into a hybrid TV platform with M7’s IPTV products. In total, M7 Deutschland now has over 150 customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

“We are pleased to have convinced almost a dozen new network operators of our channel portfolios and platform services in a highly consolidating market,” said Marco Hellberg, Managing Director of Eviso Germany, the M7 business partner in Germany. “With our versatile, flexible multiscreen TV offer, the interactive features and our quality offensive, the M7 partners can address new target groups, develop additional revenue sources, strengthen customer loyalty and show what their high-performance networks are capable of.”
