Urszula Piasecka has been appointed to the newly created position of management board advisor for monetisation of programme content at Canal+ Polska, effective May 4.
In her new role she will be responsible for the implementation of the programming strategy in the area related to the distribution and exploitation of Canal+ programming content, including support in negotiations with entities distributing content to the local and international market. Her tasks will also include managing the development of the TVOD product for customers of the satellite offer and OTT Canal+.
Commenting on the appointment, Malgorzata Seck, VP for programming at Canal+ Polska, said: “At Canal +, we believe that dialogue and balanced cooperation with partners is the basis of success, which is why we are glad that an expert, so recognised and appreciated in the community, joins our team. I am convinced that Urszula’s many years of experience in the field of licence management will allow us to further develop the rich programming offer for Canal + customers and to reach new foreign markets with local Canal + productions”.
