The Moscow Arbitration Court has accepted a creditor’s statement declaring the OTT service Tvzavr bankrupt.
ComNews reports that Nikita Kisloshchenko, the creditor in question, notified Tvzavr of his intention to go to court at the beginning of March.
Earlier he appealed to the Khamovnichesky District Court in Moscow with a demand to recover a debt of R28.8 million (€318,000) for advertising services provided to Tvzavr. This was granted in February and the following month the court agreed to consider a lawsuit he filed against Tvzavr.
Meanwhile, another creditor – the equipment supplier Elektroavangard – is believed to be owed R27.4 million, including interest, by the OTT service.
Tvzavr is owned by Ruslan Kaftanatiy and, according to Telecom Daily, had as of last year seen its OTT market share fall to only 1.1%.
