The Ukrainian operator Lanet has announced far-reaching changes to its TV channel offer, effective May 1.
They have been brought about by its failure to reach distribution agreements with the four leading media groups in the country (StarLightMedia, Media Group Ukraine, 1+1 Media and Inter) and will see their channels excluded from its TV packages on a phased (group) basis next month.
Lanet’s new offer will consist of the packages Baza TV (150+ channels, UAH77 – €2.66 for 30 days), Prime TV (180 channels, UAH97 for 30 days) and Prime+ (180+ channels, UAH119 for 30 days).
It will, in addition, offer a social TV package named Promo package, consisting of over 100 information and entertainment-based Ukrainian channels, that will be available to both its cable and IPTV subscribers.
According to Lanet, its new paid-for packages will include some of best international TV channels.
There will be less advertising and the cost of the TV packages will be significantly lower than previously.
