Ukraine’s leading cable operator Volia has entered into a partnership agreement with Viasat World.
As a result, it will initially offer its subscribers over 200 films and TV programmes from leading studios. In the future, at least 20 pieces of content will be added to the library each week and in total 1,000 by the end of the year. This will be in addition to the already available 13,000 films and TV shows from the best international and domestic film studios.
Commenting on the development, Sandra Krauinya, Volia’s marketing director, said: “We always try to give the best to our customers. And expanding the Volia TV library is one of our priorities. We now provide our subscribers with access to one of the largest libraries of legal online content in Ukraine. We are glad that the content from Viasat World film and documentary channels will be available in our library for online viewing on almost any smart device at any time and in any part of Ukraine”.
Karin Heijink, VP content, marketing and product at Viasat World, added: “After launching our full portfolio of channels on Volia in January this year, we are delighted to expand our offering to make our premium content available through the Volia TV library. We are constantly receiving the best new movies, series and documentaries to replenish our stunning software library, which Volia subscribers can now use when, where and how they like it”.
