Serhiy Logunov has been appointed the director of the News Group Ukraine (NGU), the news division of the Media Group Ukraine (MGU).

He will be responsible for the strategic development of all NMU information platforms and new information programme formats. Until recently, Logunov held the position of advisor to the director of MGU.

Over the last year, the team has done a lot of work to bring to market a new brand Ukraine 24, which in a record time reached the top positions among news channels. Our task is to ensure the sustainable leadership of Ukraine 24 and information projects on the Ukraine channel, to strengthen existing formats and launch new ones. I believe that there is a bright path ahead to reach new heights”.

Dmytro Belyansky, member of the supervisory board of MGU, who is responsible for information at MGU, added: “We continue to attract the best to our team, which produces news releases Today for the leading national channel Ukraine and all the content of the information channel Ukraine 24, which took only a year from its inception to win the championship among competitors. How do we attract professionals, even such an extra-class as Sergei Logunov, in whose television background a whole portfolio of brilliant media projects? First of all, with us, their main success may still be ahead”.

Yevhen Bondarenko, director of MGU, said: “During the year of the NGU’s existence, we were convinced of the correctness of the chosen strategy to unite all information platforms of MGU. Thanks to the synergy and strong team, it became possible to lead the Ukraine 24 channel in such a short time and to strengthen the position of Segodnya news. We are glad that a professional of such a high level, a strong media manager. will head the NMU and bring it to a new round of development”.
