The parcels to streaming company doesn’t reveal how many of those have also committed to Amazon Prime Video – the platform isn’t available in all markets.
We do know that Amazon estimates the value of the amount of time saved by its Prime customers by not visiting a physical store to be $630; 200 million Prime members gives $126 billion of value creation.
The letter doesn’t contain the words TV, video or channels, emphasising Amazon’s interest in using its video and music segments to ultimately drive sales for its parcels business.
