The Czech Republic’s PPF Group is eyeing further acquisitions in the media and telecom sectors.
Speaking to Seznam Zpravy and quoted by Lupa.cz, its head Ladislav Bartonicek said that it sees great opportunities to buy European telco companies.
He added that it is also considering media companies and that the acquisition of CME has worked very well, giving it a good platform to build on.
“We want to offer clients the widest possible range of services that are related to telecommunications. Television is part of it. CME is able to produce content that we are able to use. And we already have great purchasing power to buy additional content on the market, which we are able to provide to clients”.
Bartonicek also said PPF Group plans to offer more pay-TV services and is currently discussing how to put the platforms O2 TV and Voyo together so that they complement each other.
Broadband TV News notes that the interview provides the first indication of PPF Group’s plans since its owner Petr Kellner’s tragic death late last month.
