Discovery Channel is now available to beIN Media Group subscribers in the Middle East and North Africa.
While the two media organisations have worked together since 2016, it is the first time that Discovery Channel itself has been made available. Instead viewers have been watching HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and Arabic food channel Fatafeat.
Francesco Perta, Senior Business Development and Distribution Director, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and North East Europe at Discovery Inc., said: “beIN has been a valued partner in MENA and we’re delighted to not only be continuing our agreement, but also adding our flagship Discovery Channel to beIN’s broadcast portfolio.”
Mohammad Al-Subaie, Acting CEO of beIN MENA added, “Viewers can enjoy their favorite Discovery shows on our newly-released smarter and simpler packages, which offer subscribers great content and better user experience.”
beIN entertains and operates in 43 countries globally, including 24 countries across the MENA region. With broadcast on satellite in 4K and Full HD, the beIN experience is also available on mobile, tablet, computer, and other home devices through beIN CONNECT.
