The Mediawan Group is expected to launch a new SVOD service dedicated to documentaries this Thursday, March 18.
Satellifax reports that the service, which has been developed by Mediawan Thematics, will be named Explore and offer over 500 hours of content. Costing €3.99 a month, it will be available in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Significantly, it will also be the first French streaming service in these markets accessible exclusively via Apple TV channels on the Apple TV app.
The Mediawan Group was founded at the end of 2015 by Pierre-Antoine Capton, Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigass and is one of the main independent European studios for audiovisual content.
