Sport1 launches eSportsONE in Norway and Sweden with Telenor

March 17, 2021 09.00 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

eSports channel eSportsONE can now also be received in Norway and Sweden.

The expansion is enabled by a distribution agreement German parent company Sport1 signed with platform operator Telenor which offers the channel on its TV and streaming service T-We.

eSportsONE launched on November 3, 2020 in Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The international sister service of German channel eSports1 shows competitions from content partners such as the ESL, NBA 2K League and Psyonix with the eSports titles Dota 2, Starcraft 2, Warcraft 3, NBA 2K and Rocket League.

“Thanks to the partnership with Telenor in Norway and Sweden, we are further expanding the distribution of eSportsONE,” said Daniel von Busse, COO TV and Member of the Management of Sport1. “In the coming months, we will open up further European markets – with the goal set out at the launch clearly in mind: to make eSports even bigger across Europe beyond the young target group and to further strengthen its status in society.”
