The Polish mobile operator Play generated revenues of €200 million between becoming part of France’s Iliad Group on November 18, 2020 and the end of last year.
Play also ended 2020 with 118,000 subscribers to its Play Now TV Box service, or 268% more than 12 months earlier. Play also ended 2020 with 7,000 fixed internet subscribers.
In its latest set of results, Iliad notes that 2020 saw sales rebound and growth resume in France. In the fixed segment, it added more than 262,000 subscribers during the year. Growth was driven by its solid result in fibre, with over 1 million fibre net adds.
2020 was also a record year for network rollouts in both France and Italy.
Iliad Group as a whole had consolidated revenues of €5.87 billion in 2020, up 10.1% year-on-year. Its consolidated EBITDAaL was up 18.4%, while profit fell to €420 million.
