The SVOD service Molotov has reached the 100,000-subscriber mark in Ivory Coast and Senegal less than three months after launching in the two countries.
Molotov is now also strengthening its local partnerships by adding the public channels RTS1 and 2, as well as a documentary about the footballer Sadio Mané, in Senegal; and reaching agreements with local operators Orange and MTN to promote the service to its customers.
Molotov offers 26 TV channels and content publishers in the two countries. They include channels from the Trace group, Africa News, Passions TV, Savannah TV, Nina Novelas, France 24, Euronews, 6 SVOD Wax channels, 7 Box channels, Gourmand TV and Top Santé TV, and Game Toon.
Molotov will next launch in Cameroon this month, followed by Burkina Faso and Tunisia in April and then Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
A wider deployment in the rest of French-speaking Africa will follow in the first half of this year. It will be undertaken in partnership with Digital Virgo.
