The Russian telco Rostelecom saw its TV subscriber base grow by 4% in 2020.
In its latest set of results, the company says that it ended last year with a total of 10.8 million pay-TV customers, up from 10.4 million 12 months earlier. Of these, 6.1 million were for IPTV services – a 9% increase on the previous year.
However, Rostelecom also notes that pay-TV ARPU fell by 2% during 2020 to R250 (€2.84), while that for IPTV slumped by 5% to R302.
Rostelecom as a whole had revenues of R546,889 million in 2020, or 15% more than the previous year.
Its OIDBA was R194,050 million (+14%) and net income R25,348 million (+16%).
