Russia’s MTS ended 2020 with 6.6 million pay-TV subscribers, or 44% more than a year earlier.
At the same time, the number of OTT users grew by 142% year-on-year to reach 2.5 million. This was equivalent to 39% of the pay-TV subscriber total, an increase of 16 percentage points on a year earlier.
In its latest set of results, the company notes that it had total revenues of R494.9 billion (€5.56 billion) in 2020, up 5.2% on the previous year. Adjusted OIBDA was R215.2 billion (+1.7%) and net profit R61.4 billion (+13.2%).
MTS expects both its revenues and OIBDA to increase by 4% this year.
