A new cable and satellite TV channel named Zvezda Plus will make its debut in Russia on February 23.
Produced by the Zvezda TV and radio company, which is part of the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding, it will be distributed exclusively by Red Media, which is part of Gazprom-Media.
Zvezda Plus will be launched on Defender of the Fatherland Day and aim to build on the success of the Zvezda channel, focusing solely on the documentary genre.
On air for 24 hours daily and commercial-free, it will cover such subjects as the Second World War (The Great Patriotic War), spy stories and competitions such as the International Army Games 2021.
