Telenor wants to include United Group’s channels N1 and Sport Klub in its offer when it enters Serbia’s cable market.
Speaking to b92, the company’ strategic advisor Goran Vasic added that Telenor aims to launch its services this year, though this depends on regulatory approvals and time needed to complete its offer.
Vasic reiterated that it has signed “purely commercial infrastructure agreements” (with Telekom Srbija) and that such agreements “do not threaten the positive development of the market”.
Although it wants to cooperate with United Group and has contacted them twice about securing their content on commercial terms, United Group has yet to respond to its request.
Vasic also revealed that Telenor has no plans to produce its own content in Serbia.
