Media Broadcast stays with Dotscreen for HbbTV Freenet TV portal

February 10, 2021 20.59 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Media Broadcast, operator of German DTT platform Freenet TV, has renewed its contract with French app and user interface provider Dotscreen in regards to the evolution, support and maintenance of the HbbTV Freenet TV portal.

In 2016, Dotscreen designed and developed the front-end and associated backend of the Freenet TV portal. The company has maintained and enhanced the HbbTV solution for the past four years. Dotscreen and Media Broadcast have now jointly decided to extend their partnership through a new multi-year agreement.

Headquartered in Paris, Dotscreen has developed HbbTV applications for customers including Fransat, TF1, France24 and ARTE in France, Freesat in the UK, Mediaset in Spain, TF1 in France, SVT in Sweden, and ERT in Greece.
