The Russian operator Orion had sales of R3.3 billion (€36.3 million) in 2020, or roughly the same as the year before, with B2B being the main driver for growth.
According to the company, DTH services accounted for 68% of its revenues, followed by broadcasting services (27%) and channel distribution (5%).
As of the end of 2020 Orion had 3,020,551 subscribers, with sales being 3% higher than a year earlier.
Orion launched an OTT service named Telekarta in November 2020. Offering around 120 TV channels and 12,000 film titles, it had over 8,000 subscribers at year’s end.
Orion provided play out services to 75 TV channels at the end of 2020, while the volume of sold satellite capacity remained at the 2019 level of 275 MHz.
