Svetlana Balanova has been appointed the general director of Russia’s National Media Group (NMG).
She replaces Olga Paskina, who will leave the post on February 5 after five years.
Balanova joins NMG from Gazprom-Media, where she is the first deputy general director.
She has been at NMG for less than a year, prior to which she headed IBS, one of the leading IT service companies in Russia, for eight years.
From 2010 to 2011 she was the president of the International Business of Electronic Monitoring at 3M, as well as the COO of 3M Attenti.
Since 2019, Balanova has been a member of the supervisory board of the non-bank credit organisation of the National Settlement Depository.
