Disney reveals Star launch slate

Over 75 TV series and 270 movies will feature on Star, when the entertainment brand is added to Disney+ on February 23.

Star Originals at launch include crime thriller Big Sky from visionary storyteller David E. Kelley, the LA Law writer who went on to pen a string of his, including most recently The Undoing with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant; Love, Simon spin-off series Love, Victor written by the film’s original writers Isaac Aptaker (This Is Us) and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us), and drama series Helstrom, executive produced by Paul Zbyszewski along with Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb.

Content also includes Modern Family and The X-Files, and movies that include Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Favourite starring Olivia Colman.

The titles join previously announced series 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Prison Break and How I Met Your Mother.

The arrival of hundreds of TV series and movies including our exclusive Star Originals will make Disney+ the premier destination for high quality entertainment with something for everyone. Needless to say, all this comes with parental controls to give parents that peace of mind.”

Star on Disney+ will be available in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland plus Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
