Geert Degezelle has been appointed to the new position of VP enterprise sales at Telenet Business, effective February 1.
All the sales departments at Telenet Business that focus on SMEs and large companies will from now on fall under his responsibility.
Degezelle’s career has mainly been in the telecom sector, including spells at Proximus and Telindus (13 years).
At Proximus, he was responsible for all the sales consultants and architects, for both telecom and ICT, but also worked in strategy, innovation and M&A. In addition, he was able to build-up the cybersecurity business and was responsible for the networking & cloud business unit. He subsequently became CEO of Telindus Netherlands, where he worked for four years. On his return to Belgium, he became CEO at Cheops Technology.
Commenting on the appointment, Martine Tempels, executive VP of Telenet Business, said: “Geert is the right person to carry out this task. We want to further realise our ambition to make Telenet Business a one voice/one stop shop for our customers. Geert has the necessary experience and background to further roll out that project. I’m therefore really looking forward to working with him”.
