As a result, viewers can now choose whether to watch the content linearly or on demand.
Commenting on the development, Marek Szkolnikowski, director of TVP Sport, said: “Media consumption is changing in our eyes at a sprint pace. Popularity is gained by services that guarantee users a choice. That is why we follow the trends and instead of creating additional linear sports channels, we give the view the opportunity to decide what and when they want to watch. Earlier we created a new version of the mobile TVP Sport application, which was met with the enthusiastic acceptance of users, and now we are looking widening the offer of our channel with content available on the hybrid TV platform. We want to reach with our materials to the widest possible audience, which is in line with our mission as a public service broadcaster. And that is not the end of our plans for 2021.”
TVP will offer all sports content on its hybrid platform. Viewers will be able to replay the content and also see highlights, sports magazines, interviews and reports.
