Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor has signed a long-term agreement with the international content producer New Regency.
As a result, it has received the rights to broadcast 40 studio hits and these will be made available to both satellite clients of Tricolor and users of the Tricolor Cinema and TV mobile application, as well as in the web version of kino.tricolor.tv. Furthermore, internet viewers will be able to watch all of the studio’s films within seven days of their airtime using the catch-up.
Commenting on the development, Marina Gasparyan, Tricolor content production director, said: “The key directions of the company’s development this year will be technological improvement and multiple increase in content. Therefore, Tricolor is strengthening the partnership block, discussing cooperation with Russian and foreign production centres and film studios. New Regency is a global player with a leading position in the film production market for over 40 years. We are glad to share the films of this company with our clients”.
