Samsung TV Plus goes Clubbing TV

January 15, 2021 12.47 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Clubbing TV will be added to Samsung’s Smart TV platform in seven European countries.

It follows an agreement between channel and TV manufacturer that will place Clubbing TV’s linear feed and VOD assets in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Spain.

With the addition of Clubbing TV in 7 European territories, we are extending our commitment to a wide variety of entertaining programming. Especially during the difficult period we are all facing, Clubbing TV will bring great entertainment, including live content, to our viewers directly from the comfort and safety of their homes.” said Richard Jakeman, Head of Business Development – Smart TV, Samsung Electronics UK.

The free Smart TV video service includes 150 channels and has been integrated into all Samsung Smart TVs shipped since 2016.

Samsung says that 30 million such TVs have been activated and there are currently 20 million users.

“Clubbing TV’s music and lifestyle channel is proud to offer its live international feed and VOD content to Samsung TV Plus’ European viewers,” said Clubbing TV’s Founder, Chairman and CEO Stéphane Schweitzer. Thanks to this first OTT deal with the leading global TV and video streaming platform, Clubbing TV will benefit from the rapidly growing audience of connected TV services to extend its footprint and reach a new audience of Dance Music enthusiasts that are not necessarily using the traditional TV platforms where Clubbing TV is broadcast.”

Dance music culture channel Clubbing TV is available in HD 24/7 across 50 countries and in the Balearic Islands of Ibiza & Formentera over DTT.
