German DTH satellite platform HD+ will increase the prices for access to its TV package on Astra (19,2° East).
From March 1, 2021, a 12-month renewal will cost €75 instead of €70, the HD+ smartcard with 12-month access will then cost €79 instead of €75 (recommended retail price) and the subscription, which can be cancelled any month, will then cost €6 instead of the previous €5.75 per month.
The recommended retail price for the HD+ CI+ module including HD+ smartcard remains unchanged at €79. HD+ is announcing the new prices in a mailing to retailers.
The letter points out that this is the first price adjustment since February 2017 and that the company has continuously invested in product development over the past four years, for example in the expansion of HD/UHD content and technology.
Today, the TV package comprises 24 HD and two UHD channels. HD+ is also directly accessible via the HbbTV OpApp on TV sets from major brands such as Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba, without any additional hardware, and offers interactive features such as instant restart, catch-up TV and a TV guide.
