January 11, 2021 12.04 Europe/London By Julian Clover

NOW TV has appointed Jamie Schwartz as director of brand, marketing and merchandising, the Comcast-owned streaming service has announced.

Schwartz reports into Marina Storti, Managing Director of NOW TV, and will be responsible for core brand development and guardianship, marketing strategy and campaigns, media planning, as well as PR, social, editorial and in-product merchandising.

Jamie joins NOW TV from Universal Pictures International, where he served as EVP of Marketing for Focus Features and was responsible for devising and implementing theatrical film release plans, international marketing strategy and campaigns, PVOD/VOD release strategy, and creative development.

Prior to this, Jamie held senior positions at The Weinstein Company, Momentum Pictures and AMV BBDO.

Marina Storti, Managing Director, NOW TV said: “After learning that Jamie had studied Archaeology at University because of his love of Indiana Jones movies, it was clear to us that Jamie shares our passion for brilliant content. With over 20 years’ marketing experience in the entertainment industry, his talent, knowledge and enthusiasm will help us take NOW TV to new heights as we bring the world’s best entertainment, cinema and sport to more and more customers.”

Jamie Schwartz said: “I am delighted to be joining NOW TV. As films move from screen to stream, I’m excited to do the same.”
