Disney has confirmed it will add entertainment content under the Star brand to its Disney Plus streaming service.
Launch titles on Star in the UK include the Die Hard movie series, The X-Files, Lost, Atlanta and more. It will be the sixth brand to join Disney Plus, sitting alongside Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney and National Geographic. However, age restrictions will be introduced when the content goes live on February 23rd.

The plans were first announced by CEO Bob Chapek during a third quarter financial presentation in August.
However, while there’s no intial price increase, however later in 2021 the monthly subscription will increase to €8.99 per month or €89.99 per year, with a similar pricing adjustment in the other Star launch markets, including Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
The Star brand was acquired by Disney as part of its acquisition of properties from News Corp
