Peter Gazik has been CEO of Telenor Hungary, effective January 1, 2021.
Over the past 10 years, Gazik has held various leadership roles in telecoms in the areas of corporate relations and regulation, and for the past five years has been the CEO of the Slovak mobile company O2. He will take over the position of CEO of Telenor Hungary from Jan Hanus, who has been managing the company since July 2018.
Commenting on the development, Ladislav Bartonicek, shareholder of the PPF Group and CEO of the PPF Telecom Group, said: “I would like to thank Jan Hanus for his excellent work at the head of Telenor Hungary, through which he has made the company a dynamically growing company. At the same time, I am pleased to welcome Peter Gazik, who has the right experience to ensure Telenor’s further growth”.
