The overwhelming majority of households with broadband connections in Slovenia also opt to receive a TV service from the same provider.
According to data published by the regulator AKOS, the figure stood at 88% as of the end of last year. Furthermore, for connections with a TV service, the average number of channels included in the basic package was 157.
The research also shows that the most popular bundled service were quad-play (internet, TV, fixed line and mobile telephony), accounting for 43.0% of subscriptions. They were followed by triple-play (internet, TV and fixed line telephony) with 35.48%.
The average monthly price of a connection with basic services was €48.38 with VAT, €49.78 with VAT for basic and related services and €51.97 with VAT for the entire offer with the connection.
Operators using cable, copper and fibre-optic technology were paid on average €48.82, €53.26 and €53.61 respectively by end users.
Fibre-optic accounted for 40.6% of connections, cable 27.1% and copper 30%.
AKOS analysed data from 55 operators that provided retail broadband services.
