The number of active FTTH lines in Spain exceeded 11 million for the first time in August.
According to the latest figures published by the regulator CNMC, the number of such lines grew by almost 119,000 during the month.
Furthermore, Movistar remained the market leader, claiming a total of 4.5 million lines.
The number of FTTH lines increased by 1.4 million in the year to August, while at the same time the number of DSL lines fell by 800,000.
Over four in five (83.5%) fixed broadband lines were provided by the three main operators Movistar (38.35%), Orange (including Jazztel – 24.55%) and Vodafone (including Ono – 20.58%).
