German good!movies Channel goes beyond Amazon

November 20, 2020 22.59 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German video-on-demand (VOD) service good!movies Channel is now also available as a stand-alone service outside of Amazon.

Lovers of high-class films and arthouse movies can access the full line-up at a monthly subscription price of €3.99 on its website; the first 14 days are free.

The good!movies Channel, which has so far only been offered on Amazon Prime Video Channels, is backed by eleven independent German film art distributors, including Neue Visionen, Arsenal, Camino, Kool, Real Fiction and Zorro, as well as Stuttgart-based film distributor and VOD provider Kinostar.

“We are very pleased that we are able to offer a possibility to enjoy great film art and sophisticated entertainment at home with the good!movies Channel,” said good!movies managing director Matthias Mücke. “We are constantly expanding the range of films on offer.”

Michael Rösch, managing director of Kinostar, added: “Most streaming providers are more focused on a mass audience, so that film art lovers often cannot find the selection of valuable films they are looking for. We are therefore all the more pleased to launch a VOD service that will delight us and countless other film fans.”
