Digi Communications saw exceptional growth in its Romanian fixed services business in the year to September 30.
Results published by the company show that it ended the third quarter with 15% more pay-TV and 17% more internet RGUs in the country than a year earlier.
Romania also remained its leading market, accounting for 62% of revenues and 71% of RGUs.
Digi, which is present in Romania, Hungary, Spain and Italy, had total revenues of €950.6 million in Q3, or 8.7% more than a year earlier. Its consolidated EBITDA was 8% higher at €353 million.
As of the end of Q3 it had 5.6 million pay-TV (in Romania and Hungary), 4.1 million broadband internet and 6.2 million mobile RGUs.
In his comments on the results, Digi’s CEO Serghei Bulgac said: “The level of our current customer-base is a proof of Digi’s excellence in providing quality services. We are glad that, in the last 12 months, we have added almost 2 million new services to our portfolio”.
